Photography 101

I always say, "Photography is one of those things that the more you know, the more you realize how much you don't know" There is so much to learn. It's somewhat difficult to wrap your head around the confusion, to fully understand how it works and how they all work together. Once you gain this knowledge and apply it, you'll be thrilled at the improvement in your art.

As you probably know Auto Mode (P) never does your photos justice. You are essentially giving the camera full control over the way the photos comes out. Before I learned what all those controls did, I was consistently disappointed with my images. I thought if I just had a better camera...Well that's wasn't it at all, but I sure spent a lot of money on gear I thought I needed! Once I learned what each control did and how they relate to each other to get the results I wanted, I finally started to create imagery I loved. The better I got the more I wanted to learn and create.

You don't need to own an expensive camera, you just need someone to teach you, to show you it's possible to capture stunning images with the camera you already own.

There's so much you CAN control that it will give you creative freedom and by not tripping over that part you can focus on the other aspects of creating an image.

Lessons and workshops are held at my studio in sharpsburg, Ga.

Will also come teach on location if there are enough students signed up.
